Ramadan flowers in Bali: how long it has to last, and where it is going
A home through the fasting month is a hard place for cut stems. The rooms stay warm, the door opens and closes all evening, guests arrive after dark and the kitchen puts steam into the air. Quiet shades hold up better than a bright mix across that many evenings: cream, sand, dusty pink, several tones of green. Everything else follows from one number, which is how long the piece actually has to stand.
Seven to fourteen days, if somebody is looking after it
A hand tied bunch in a vase gives seven to fourteen days when the water gets changed. In a house that cooks and receives guests every night, it does not get changed. The water clouds by the third day, bacteria block the cut ends, and the heads go over while the stems still look sound. That is why a bunch bought for the first evening is usually cleared away around the middle of the month.
Counting evenings first changes what we build. A piece meant for one dinner and a piece meant to hold a hallway for four weeks share a palette and almost nothing else, and the second one is built on soaked foam or around a plant so that nobody has to maintain it.

Where it is going on the island
Bali spreads a delivery out, and the address changes the build as much as the room does. Four cases cover most of what we send that month:
- a villa in Seminyak or Canggu: usually one low table piece plus something taller for the hallway
- a hotel in Nusa Dua, where the property handles the last step and the piece has to arrive ready to stand
- a house around Ubud: longer road, so the box travels closed and gets opened at the door
- a remote villa out towards Uluwatu or Tabanan, where the gate, the security post and the manager all sit between the courier and the table.
Seminyak, Canggu and Sanur take 90 to 150 minutes from a confirmed order, while Uluwatu, Tabanan and the remote villas take three to four hours. Berawa, Kuta, Legian, Jimbaran and Sanur run on the same routine. We deliver 9 AM to 10 PM, orders start at 650,000 IDR, and payment goes by QRIS, GoPay, OVO, DANA or cash to the courier.
What holds a month here
Macrophylla hydrangea carries the mass in the middle of a long standing piece, and lisianthus and ranunculus keep the register quiet without going flat. Orchids outlast everything cut in the same arrangement, which is why they go into the pieces nobody plans to replace. Tropical foliage holds the outline so the whole thing still reads as an arrangement in week three. Imported roses at 60 to 90 cm cover table work, and Ecuadorian roses up to 120 cm belong only in floor pieces standing against a wall.
Heat is the other half of the answer. Above 30 °C with island humidity behind it we wrap firmly and pack a cooling element, and anything facing a long run travels closed, because an open top collects moisture on the road and shows it later as brown edging.
