Anniversary flowers in Bali: the return trip and the ordinary Tuesday
Half the anniversary orders here come from couples who married on this island. The rest come from residents, for whom the date is a Tuesday with a dinner booking. The returning ones fly in, take the same villa if it is free, and want something already on the table when they walk in.
The two briefs separate at the address. One sender gives us a venue name and a check-in time; the other gives us a gate they have used for two years.
Weddings cluster around Jimbaran, Uluwatu and Ubud, and anniversary orders follow that map a year later. Some go back to the resort, some to the cliff restaurant where the dinner ran late. Send a photograph of the wedding flowers if you kept one — it settles palette, size and shape faster than any description.
Counting by the year
The year on the card shapes the order more than the budget does. Four points on the scale come up often enough that we build for them without asking.
- One year — the wedding palette again: white, blush, plenty of green.
- Five years — a colour the couple chose themselves, not the bridal scheme.
- Ten years — children in the house, so lower and steadier, nothing that tips.
- Twenty-five years — height and one clean colour, because this one gets photographed.
Between those, most senders want the count to match the year. Three roses for a third, ten for a tenth. It costs nothing to arrange. On a card it reads better than any number we would suggest.
Twenty-five stems is where it breaks.
At twenty-five roses of 60–90 cm you still have a bouquet that fits a table. At forty it needs a floor vase, which a rented villa rarely owns. Past that we split the order: a sized bouquet for the evening, and the rest in a low bowl that stands where they are staying.
"I ask for the year before anything else. One year and twenty-five years do not want the same height or the same room."

Back to the venue, or to the villa
A wedding venue around Jimbaran takes the return order easily: staff on the floor, someone to sign. A villa is harder, because the booking may sit under a name that is not on your order, and a gate will not open for a courier who cannot say which unit.
Resorts are simpler still. The St. Regis Bali Resort, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan and Alila Villas Uluwatu take flowers at reception and bring them up. Time the order to check-in and it is standing there when the door opens.
Residents work on a shorter loop. The table is booked somewhere they know, flowers go in an hour ahead, and the manager sets them out before the couple arrives. Nothing has to survive an airport. Size can go up. One ride home, to a house that owns a vase.
Rain, pins and the flight home
Many weddings here fall between April and October, so the anniversary lands in the same window. From November to March the afternoon rain slows every run. Low points on the Canggu back lanes hold water, and the drive to Uluwatu or Tabanan adds an hour. When the hour is fixed by a booking, order the day before so we can start the run early and lose nothing to the rain.
Send the map pin when you book. Villa names repeat across Canggu and Berawa, the lanes carry no signs, and a driver phoning from the road loses your slot.
The flight home is the last thing to plan. Cut flowers cannot fly; that is why preserved roses sell here. A real rose held in glycerine needs no water and no vase, so couples order fresh stems for the dinner and a domed rose for the shelf at home.
Humidity is what shortens preserved flowers here. Glycerine draws damp in, so a sealed dome holds up through the wet months better than an open box.
"Couples flying back give me the date and the venue straight away. What they leave out is the hour they land, and that decides whether the flowers meet them in the room or wait downstairs."

Couriers run 9 AM to 10 PM on GMT+8. Seminyak, Canggu and Sanur take 90–150 minutes from confirmation; Uluwatu, Tabanan and the remote villas need three to four hours. Prices start at 650,000 IDR; QRIS, GoPay, OVO, DANA and cash at the gate all work. We build anniversary flowers in Bali around a year, an address and an hour — send all three, plus the wedding photograph if you kept it.
