A tinted rose simply behaves like a coated flower instead of a grown one, and for a stage, a party or a photograph it does the job better than any cultivar we can order. On the island the count tends to be decided by the setting rather than by the budget. A dinner table by the sea takes a small dense group of heads that works from a seated eye line, while a ceremony backdrop or a hotel counter needs the number pushed up, since in open daylight a pale shade needs more of itself to register at all.
