### Corporate gifts in Dubai: the list is the schedule A recipient list is the working document for a batch, and names are the least useful column in it. Floor and office number, the phone of whoever opens the door, the hours when somebody is actually behind it. Everything that goes wrong on the day goes wrong in one of those three fields. Access matters more than address. A building may want the courier named on a pass a day ahead, and reception may close at six while the round is planned for seven, which turns a finished batch into a set of boxes waiting in a lobby. Ask once, at the list stage, and the answer picks the build for you. Somebody carrying the gift home should not be given a tall vase and a wet wrap. Somebody who will leave it on a desk is better served by an arrangement on floral foam, which survives a weekend with nobody in the room and asks for topping up rather than tending. An office with a shared kitchen keeps a foam piece going for a fortnight. A wrapped bouquet in that same office is in a coffee jug by Tuesday. There is a third case here that comes up more than either of those. Part of the list is leaving the country for the holidays, and a living arrangement is the wrong gift for a desk that will be empty for three weeks. #### Uniform, and how it stays that way Flowers arrive in boxes that are not identical. Heads from the same grower come at different stages of opening, and thirty arrangements built from one box drift apart in density unless somebody grades them first. The florist sorts before assembly, keeps the calibre even across the run, and puts the loosest blooms into the pieces going out last. What cannot be fixed at the bench is a shortage halfway through. Fifteen sets with one flower and fifteen without are two different gifts, whatever the packing slip says, so the specification is locked before the run begins and a substitution applies to the whole batch or to none of it. #### The route across the city One arrangement takes 2 to 4 hours. Thirty is not thirty of those, it is a single route, and it is built by district rather than by the order of rows in a spreadsheet. Downtown, Business Bay and DIFC form one dense leg. JBR, Marina and Palm Jumeirah form another. Sorting the list that way before the run saves more time than any decision made on the day. Insulated packing goes into these batches by default and the boxes stay out of the sun, since a city that reaches 40 °C in summer is not a place to leave a stack of arrangements standing in a loading bay.
